The training course:
The course is divided into 5 steps. The children learn, with a great deal of fun, insight into those skills which they need to become safe divers. At the same time they learn how important team spirit and discipline are when achieving a goal.
Step 1 - the Red Ranger
Step 2 - the White Ranger
Step 3 - the Blue Ranger
Step 4 - the Silver Ranger
Step 5 - the Demo Ranger
Safety
Great emphasis is placed on the safety of the kids. For this reason only professionally trained diving teachers instruct the children in the Scuba Rangers diving programme. Diving takes place only in the pool or in pool-like conditions in a protected bay to a maximum depth of 4 metres. From a depth of 1.5 metres onwards one diving teacher is in charge of a maximum of two children.
What do I learn in each step?
Red Ranger:
Swimming and snorkelling - and how I can help others and have fun.
White Ranger:
Here you learn everything about diving equipment. From then on it's into the pool and let's start Scuba diving.
Blue Ranger:
Here you learn a few new exercises - for example dealing with buoyancy - of course, this is also fun.
Silver Ranger:
Great underwater games with diving equipment where you practise all the skills you have already learnt.
Demo Ranger:
Now you can show your friends and parents everything you have learnt.
You've made it, you are now a Scuba Ranger!
There are of course diving courses for adults too.
The diving courses for adults and children take place only at the seasonal times D and E.
These are run by the diving school Blue Waters (www.blue-water-divers.at)
and take place at the nearby Silbersee lake.
